Haworthia integra (rycroftiana) grows quite plentiful on a steep gorge near the Gourits River Bridge on the old dirt road between Van Wyksdorp and Herbertsdale. It is a good example of a species rather left in its own right instead of trying to force it as a ssp or var of something else. Doing so will risk the decision to be revoked at some point.
Bayer puts it under Haworthia mucronata (where it probably does not belong). (I am not sure if he has actually seen the plants in habitat.) The plants may have some connection with Haworthia arachnoidea, H scottii or H standeri, however there are also differences. The flowering time is closer to H standeri and arachnoidea than to mucronata. Leaves are smooth or sparsely bristled .
