Haworthia 'Umber Star' is somewhat reminiscent of ‘Silkwing’ but it is the result of crossing H. ‘Ginsekai’ with a H. ‘Lombard Star’ X H splendens var masai hybrid. Umber Star starts out as a silvery grey-blue plant but with maturity the new leaves emerge with a yellow-ochre tint. The uneven and broken facial lines are dull umber in color.
