Euphorbia gamkensis

This species described by Gerhard Marx is only known from the Calitzdorp area. The plants are smaller than Euphorbia colliculina which occurs further to the east in the Oudtshoorn district.

Occasionally the plants may have some resemblance to Haworthia decepta which occurs way north of the Swartberg.  The inclusion of this species (and numerous others) as forms of Euphorbia decepta ( Bruyns, P.V.) is likely going to cause much confusion.

Euphorbia gamkensis
Occasionally found east of Calitzdorp.
