Gethyllis ciliaris ssp. longituba

Can be confused with Gethyllis britteniana. Gethyllis ciliaris ssp. longituba makes offsets while  Gethyllis britteniana does not. I had the name wrong initially as can be see from the URL of the larger pictures.

Gethyllis ciliaris has the style in the middle of the flower unlike a number of other species that have the female part on the side.

Gethyllis barkerae subsp. barkerae

The bulbs naturally occur in low lying flats southwest of Vanrhynsdorp.

Adult plants usually have 3 to 8 leaves. Flowering time is early to midsummer.

Gethyllis spiralis - Keurkloof south west of Oudtshoorn

Widespread throughout a reserve but usually very uncommon. It grows in semi-fynbos vegetation. 

It flowers late November to early December.

Fruiting in April.
