In the vicinity of Vergelegen north of Oudtshoorn I found this interesting variant of Drimia haworthiodes. The leaves are fairly upright as compared to most other forms that have prostrate leaves.
It is possible that the shady habitat may contribute to the leaves growing upright, but some that received more sunlight also appeared to remain upright or at least partly so.
The bulbs have scales similar to other Drimia haworthioides but the flesh is whitish and not reddish like the norm.
