Spiloxene trifurcillata is a small bulb that is endemic to the eastern Klein Karoo as well as the Eastern Cape.
The plants prefer to grow in shady moist areas where they can form dense clumps. The small yellow flowers appear in late winter and spring.
Propagation is from seed.
