Flowering on a pavement in George, these bulbs have characteristics of both the genus Iris and Moraea. The distribution range is from the Southern Cape coast upwards through the Eastern Cape and into Kwazulu-Natal. The flowering time is July and August and the plants can be grown in full sun or partial shade.
Propagation is by rhizomes or seed.
