A plant found south of Oudtshoorn in arid Karoo veld where it seems to be exceedingly rare. It is a small species and could be related to Holothrix villosa but lacks the very hairy flower stalk. Also Holothrix exilis with greenish petals does not quite seem to fit. Those who can put a species name to it please contact izimakana@gmail.com . See also Holothrix secunda.
