This form is similar to the Haworthia arachnoidea 'nigricans' sensu Bayer. See also Haworthia arachnoidea 'setata', and Haworthia arachnoidea 'royalis' which are similar plants with slight differences e.g. their greater tendency to cluster. While I am generally in favour of using more names as far as the genus Haworthia is concerned, Haworthia arachnoidea remains challenging for me in this regard. There are a number of exceptions though where for e.g. Haworthia scabrispina does make a good candidate for a separate species.
